Welcome to Stingray Villa, a boutique-style vacation rental in the heart of Cozumel, Mexico, designed especially for couples who crave comfort, privacy, and authentic island charm. We’re Silvia and Gregory Lupone, the husband-and-wife team behind Stingray Villa—and we’re passionate about creating memorable stays for every guest who walks through our doors.
How It All Began
Our story started in 2008 during what was supposed to be just another vacation to Cozumel. But the island had other plans for us. Within days, we fell in love with its rhythm—the turquoise water, friendly locals, and that unmistakable feeling of peace you only find here.
That trip changed everything. We traded the fast lane for a slower, saner, and more meaningful life on the island.
In 2011, we opened our first guesthouse, Los Alcatraces Cozumel, and learned the true art of hospitality—personal connection, attention to detail, and treating guests like friends rather than bookings.
By 2019, we poured that experience into building Stingray Villa—a four-suite retreat just minutes from downtown San Miguel, restaurants, and dive shops.
Who We Are
Silvia is the boss (and the heart of Stingray Villa).
She brings years of experience from Cozumel’s resort and tourism industry—working with Vista Del Mar Boutique Hotel, Cozumel Bar Hop Tours, Odyssey Tours, and Royal Holiday Club. Her local knowledge ensures guests always know the best places to eat, explore, and dive.
Greg’s background as a former restaurant owner taught him the value of great service, timing, and a warm welcome—skills that now shape the way we host. Whether it’s recommending a hidden taquería or sharing the best snorkeling spots, he’s here to make your stay seamless.
