An Adults-only accommodation in Cozumel is certainly something that has been done before; however, I will be honest with you: I have based my entire career on this type of concept. My name is Silvia Lupone, and I am the owner of Stingray Villa, a cozy, boutique-style guest house located on a quiet street in downtown Cozumel. It has 4 separate villas, all with pool views. There is no children’s play area (kids’ club). Each morning you may enjoy your cup of coffee and possibly try to recover from the previous night’s drinking.
I did not begin planning “how I would build an entire business on complete silence.” In fact, I simply wanted to create a great guest house. However, after about three years, I began to notice a trend. Guests returned repeatedly, posted glowing five-star reviews of my establishment, and referred their friends, none of whom were seeking an environment like a water park. Instead, they were seeking some peace & quiet away from their work and/or family commitments, as well as the constant din of needing to be available to everyone at all times
