Aerus Cancels Cancun to Cozumel Flights: What You Should Be Aware Of
Hi. My name is Silvia Lupone. I am the owner of Stingray Villa located in Cozumel. I can often be found in the morning helping our guests, enjoying my coffee, and answering all sorts of travel-related inquiries. Since so many people are now inquiring about flying to Cozumel, I think it’s time I let you know what we know about flights there. How do you plan to get to Cozumel from Cancun? Well, we may have some new information that could affect your travel plans to Cozumel. I will tell it to you straight. Aerus canceled its Cancun to Cozumel flight. If you went online to try to book one of these flights, you probably didn’t find anything.
Aerus Airlines decided to cancel the flights from Cancun to Cozumel.
They stated they would suspend service until further notice. Honestly, this reminds me of booking travel back in the late 1990’s. You were forced to adjust to whatever came along. According to rumor, they may reinstate this route once our peak winter season begins. We will just have to wait and see.
Your Best Alternative Plan
Now that you can no longer take a direct flight from Cancun to Cozumel, you are left wondering how else you can get here. Don’t worry. Getting here isn’t difficult at all. First of all, we have 3 international airports you can fly into. Your other new best friends is the ADO bus line. For the most part, ADO will transport you safely and efficiently from one end of Mexico to the other. Simply step out of the Cancun or Tulum airport and look for the red ADO sign. Hop on the ADO bus headed towards Playa Del Carmen. The ride is easy, cheap, and comfortable. Grab your luggage and catch your bus. When you arrive in Playa Del Carmen, simply grab the short ferry ride across the water. Before you even realize it, you will be stepping off the boat into Cozumel. Take a deep breath, buy yourself an ADO ticket, and get on down to Cozumel. The Island is waiting for you.
