When you’re in Cozumel and looking for the best seafood restaurant, it’s easy to get caught up in the festive atmosphere and maybe overdo it a little. If you find yourself in this scenario, then pull it together and head to La Conchita del Caribe for lunch and their renowned seafood. Probably the best we’ve had since visiting Cozumel for the past 20 years, in fact. After you rejoin the world of the living, settle in for some of the best and freshest seafood on the island.
Ordering at La Conchita del Caribe is difficult because the menu is quite varied and everything—and we mean everything—is excellent. Favorites include ceviche, a piquant seafood cocktail and, of course, the grilled fish selections. Try the local fishermen’s favorite Dorado (mahi-mahi). It arrives at your table grilled to perfection, white and flaky. One thing that we always have in Cozumel is fresh fish and plenty of fishermen who work hard to bring you these delicacies daily. They also serve the yummiest, freshest ceviche, delicious garlic shrimp, soft drinks, cold Cerveza and more. This is traditional, authentic Mexican seafood at its best, and the price can’t be beat. The best way to enjoy the amazing seafood of Cozumel is to prepare it as simply as possible … and this to me is the Spanish way. La Conchita del Caribe takes the best ingredients from the area, like the famous pulpo, and serves them in the most simple and delicious way. And of course, seafood is always better with a glass of cerveza. Address: 65 Avenida Sur Bis 960, Independencia, 77620 San Miguel de Cozumel, Quintana Roo.
